The system extension “/Library/Extensions/DWXBoxHIDDriver.kext” was installed improperly and cannot be used. When I tried to copy it into place manually, my mac said: Everything was where it should have been except for the DWXBoxHIDDriver.kext. Then under Serial-ATA, you can see an entry for TRIM Support – it will say yes or no.Went digging for the components where the installer said they’d be. Go to the Apple menu > About This Mac, hit the More Info… button. Sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions/ Checking whether TRIM is enabled Sudo rm /System/Library/Caches//Startup/Extensions.mkext Sudo cp -pX IOAHCIBlockStorage ~IOAHCIBlockStorage The method described in Keeping TRIM on Snow Leopard 10.6.8 Update worked perfectly: cd /System/Library/Extensions/IOAHCIFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/IOAHCIBlockStorage.kext/Contents/MacOS/ For Catalina you should just use the following command line sudo trimforce enable Happy Winner Trim Enabler 2.2 didn’t even work on Catalina, with an Intel SSDSC2BB300G4T – D201DL13 (there is an update to version 3.6.3, which I didn’t bother installing). Utter waste of time! I got the low down on Trim Enabler from WORKING DOWNLOAD LINK for TRIM Enabler 2.2 for Mac OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard. It failed to enable TRIM on a WD Green 240 GB SSD, even after multiple reboots, etc. Never use Trim Enabler 2.2, at least on Snow Leopard (10.6.8) – it is pointless. I found an application that failed and a command line solution that worked… I also wondered whether it would speed up the Mac a little and put a halt to the continual lock ups that uTorrent suffered from… Follow gr33nonline on Socialįollowing on from Getting an old Penryn MacBook Pro to work, I needed to enable TRIM as it wasn’t enabled on my SSD.
